River Goddess and Sudbury town map
He focused on the river, the cloth trade and the fact that a market has existed in the town for over a thousand years and is still going strong.

The design incorporates the river, complete with goddess, winding around the base of the trunk and an ancient town map.

Medieval market trader in cloth -  initial design

Modern market trader and Medieval cloth seller.

The cloth spills from the market traders stall into the river,  which was vital in the making process. A modern trader reaches across time to to his medieval counterpart offering an apple echoing medieval carvings.
